She started her career as a chemistry teacher and for 32 years she had been the Principal of several schools until she decided to found the European School in 2007, in Tbilisi. Her inspiration for starting up a new school was to bring up the new generation of global citizens who respect their national values and think internationally. Considering her vision of modern education she implemented the IB programmes at the European School (PYP, MYP & DP). She is a vice-president of the professional women association, was awarded with an Order of Virtue, is an Honorable Citizen of Rustavi. Her life is fully dedicated to education and the European School.
Vincent Evanno is a Director of IB Programmes at the European School. He has been involved in education and nurturing the next generation for the last 15 years. Previously, he was leading High School IB programmes in international schools in France and China. Born in France, he enjoyed a short career as a mathematician at the University of Manchester and University of Goettingen before moving to International Education. His main interests are nature and leadership development in international schools.
Keti Nachkebia is a scientist. She holds a PhD in Biology. Previously, she worked in several scientific laboratories , where she was involved in different research projects. Her most recent experience has been in the education sphere. Keti got inspired by IB programs and started teaching Chemistry at the European School. She currently works as a SA(service as action) coordinator in IB MYP.
As one of the founders of American-Georgian Initiative for Liberal Education runs Liberal Arts Program at Ilia State University. She has PhD in Classics and works at the Institute of Georgian Literature. Author of six books and more than 50 articles researches rituals in Ancient literature. She is a member of various literary associations and cooperates with different journals. At European School she is a coordinator of Theory of Knowledge. Loves to travel together with her family, is interested in politics and never forgets that: “Post nubila sol”.
Maka Gvelesiani is IB DP CAS Coordinator at the European School. Previously, she worked at GIPA (Georgian Institute of Public Affairs) as a Coordinator of Public Relations MA Program. She holds a Master Degree in Public Relations. In 2007-2009 she was volunteering at the Information Center on NATO and EU. She enjoys working in the educational sphere, working with students and helping them to develop their professional and social skills.
Giorgi is a journalist and self educated web professional. He graduated Shota Rustaveli University of Drama and Film, majoring in Journalism. Previously Giorgi worked at several TV stations and Radios. Now he works at Press and Communication Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia. Giorgi is a developer of eDiary and a designer at the European School. He loves reading, codding and writing small novels.
